Disturbing the Sleep of Kings Nier Replicant: Quest Walkthrough

The quest titled Disturbing the Sleep of Kings in NieR Replicant is an important endgame side activity that players must complete to collect every weapon in the game. Completing this objective grants players the Labyrinth's Song two-handed sword, which is essential for unlocking Endings C, D, and E. Navigating through the requirements and steps for this mission ensures that players can secure their rewards without running into progression roadblocks.
Prerequisites for Unlocking the Quest
Before players can accept this task, they must progress into the second half of NieR Replicant's story as adult Nier. Additionally, completing the prerequisite side quest known as A Shade Entombed is mandatory before the King of Facade will offer this request. Players must also ensure they have retrieved the Cerberus Fragment as part of the main storyline to make the King appear on his mansion roof in Facade.
Starting the Quest in Facade
To begin the mission, travel to the city of Facade and make your way to the top of the Royal Mansion. Speak directly with the King of Facade, who will express deep concern regarding the desecration of the sacred Barren Temple. He requests your assistance in defeating a massive horde of Shades that have invaded the tomb, threatening the eternal rest of ancient royalty.
Clearing the Shades in the Barren Temple
Head outside Facade and enter the Barren Temple to track down the invading monsters. Make your way toward the long stone bridge that leads directly to the central boss room, where numerous powerful Shades await. Be prepared for a tough battle, as these enemies deal substantial damage and possess large health pools.
Completing the Task and Claiming Rewards
After eliminating all the Shades guarding the bridge and the main chamber, return to Facade to deliver the news to the King. Speak with him atop the mansion balcony to finalize the quest and earn his gratitude. As a reward for your efforts, you will receive the Labyrinth's Song, bringing you one step closer to full weapon collection completion.
